We’ve heard of Maggi ban, then came Glucon-D scare, then came Coplan one and lately Air India had a reptile served. Well this is enough to scare off any big food and beverages chain to make modest changes. Don’t worry Tata Starbucks is here to stay as long as it ensures to comply to the norms.
1
Smart move, we say! Tata Starbucks Pvt Ltd which is a joint venture of Tata Global Beverages Ltd and Starbucks Coffee Co, is working with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to get technical information regarding ingredients.
2

Tata  Starbucks has initiated the to suspend ingredients from certain products to be served in Indian stores, but it did not give details of the ingredients it is removing; pending FSSAI approval.
3

As for their statements, they say it’d continue to deliver the unique Starbucks Experience to their customers without disruption and that it intends to comply to the market in which they are operating. Good coffee! Smart coffee!

How media keeps mum over such atrocities? It’s shocking and makes you angry. Silence over this act when a fellow journalist was burnt alive while International Media picked the issue vigorously and demanded an investigation.
one
Jagendra Singh, a social media journalist, was burned alive by Uttar Pradesh Police for making a facebook post against Ram Murti Verma, a state minister in Uttar Pradesh and a powerful Samajwadi Party politician in Shahjahanpur.
four

On 30th May, Jagendra Singh had posted accusing Ram Murti Verma of gang-raping a nursery worker with his henchmen and forcibly grabbing large tracts of land. Also accused him of high levels of corruption. And just the following day police raided his house and burnt him alive in front of his son.
two

After social media outrage and Amnesty International and other human rights organisations picked up the issue, Ram Murti Verma was arrested with other policemen including chief Sri Prakash Rai (the police chief) on charges of murder yet till now no charges of rape have so far been brought over these allegations.
three

Officers initially claimed Jagendra Singh committed suicide when they tried to arrest him but in a statement recorded just before his death, he told that it was Sri prakash Rai, the local police chief who had poured kerosene on him and set him ablaze. Watch the video:

We understand that its mango season but this is doesn’t beat the heat when you don’t want mango’s and especially not that which will cost you 8,000 rupees, precisely a sum of Rs 8,099.
1

Happened when Chiluveri Srucharan, a resident of  Telangana, ordered a phone from Flipkart, he was surprised when he got two mangoes in his package. Srucharan an electrical engineer says he is still trying to get either the mobile phone he had originally ordered for 10 days ago, or a refund.
4
Srucharan initially thought that the courier service messed it up but later found out that the mess was at the Flipkart’s part. He was informed by Flipkart that the amount would be refunded within 24 hours, and later called him to tell that the phone had been shipped, but its the third time he got real unlucky.
2
“I got a message from Flipkart saying that my replacement has been cancelled as they noticed an ‘unwarranted return’, and I’ve been mailing them since,” says Srucharan.
3Tired of this, Srucharan took to Facebook to post a picture of the mangoes and the box and has given Flipkart a deadline of June 14, after which he plans to go to the consumer forum. He is real confused as to what to with the mangoes. Let them rot in the box.

This move that has taken up in Telengana should now beware doctors from writing their weird, ‘scribbly’ and unreadable writing. Because from now onward doctors can issue prescription only in capital letters.

 1

This is according to a recent order by the ministry of health and family welfare. For years we have been hearing wrong medication killing patients around the world, and the prescription in cursive writing lead to a lot of miscommunication between the physician and pharmacist and there were constant arguments when wrong medicines were issued.

 2

Telangana Pharmacist Association who had carried out this movement, since last four years, are happy that the government has finally issued orders and made it mandatory for all doctors.
3
Now, even the patient can read the prescription of the doctor and the margin of error is completely reduced.”  Posters and banners are also being put up in chemists’ shops to let the patients know that they have to bring the prescription from the doctors in capital letters only. Generic drugs store opened at Victoria hospital in the city by the medical education department is receiving overwhelming response, every day more than 600 people are visiting the store to purchase drugs. If the speculations are to be believed, then Modi Governement has selected 93 years old veteran actor Dilip Kumar (Born as Yusuf Khan) as a competitor for the Bharat Ratna Award, India’s highest civilian award. In the recent event, Centre has chosen him for the prestigious award, but the question is, will he able to come to New Delhi in his current health condition. Earlier, when the centre declared Bharat Ratna for former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee and President Pranab Mukherjee, it was presented to Vajpayee at his residence. Well, perhaps he may receive the award in Mumbai as the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was presented to actor Shashi Kapoor in Mumbai recently.

Born in Pakistan as Muhammed Yusuf Khan and widely known as film star Dilip Kumar has received the Padma Bhushan in 1991, Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015 for outstanding achievement in Indian cinema.

The remaking of Foreign movies has now become trend in Bollywood with almost every second Indian movie is copied. This time its Dharma Productions “Brothers” starring Akshay Kumar and Sidhartha Malhotra, which is  a complete rip off of superhit Hollywood movie “Warrior” starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. The trailer of the Brothers launched on Wednesday that shows a difficult relationship between two brothers and both participating in a fighting contest. The story entirely resembles that of Warrior (2011) where Joel Edgerton plays the role of a professor who enters into the contest due to financial problems with his family, which seems to be the same case with Akshay Kumar in Brothers.

Brothers (2015) Trailer

Warrior (2011) Trailer

Don’t know if the movie will be as successful as its original piece, but there are few things that seems different in the movie. For example, Tom Hardy’s role in the movie was very intense, unapologetic and didn’t show any of his emotions in the whole movie, while Sidhartha seems to be a bit emotional in the trailer.  Well, we surely wish to see the movie get great reviews, however, it all depends on how well the actors and team performed.

Our Indian superhero comes to life; Yes Shaktimaan is true and we don’t lie. Gangadhara Tilak Katnam as he is named; Gangadhar? Remember our good old Shaktimaan, so we call him Shaktimaan.  Our man at 66 does what we even at 21 don’t think to do.
1
Gangadhara is a retired railway employee who took initiative to fill more than 1200 potholes in Hyderabad from his pension money. Who does that? Tell me? And now, ask him what made him do so?
3
He recollects incidents of muddy water splash on school kids, and on a more serious note, saw biker loose his life over a pot hole, and yet another one biker who lost his limbs, sustaining serious head injuries trying to avoid a pothole. All this while he was working in a software company.
5And so he gathered material to fill the potholes, and began his journey from one potholed road to another. He would even go out during his lunch time, fill a pothole and come back to work.  But soon, he decided to take this as a full time mission and quit his job. He began to purchase material from his pension and took care of one road at a time.
6

Now, Gangadhara’s son Ravikiran is financially supporting the initiative. After creating a website and a Facebook page, students and software professional started joining his program called “Shramadaan”. India witnesses one of the highest numbers of deaths due to road accidents. Approximately 16 deaths occur every hour due to road accidents out of which 3 deaths are caused due to bad road infrastructure.
7
Hyderabad has lot to thank this man, if they don’t feel like walking on a cratered moon like surface, its because of him.

India has finally received its first same sex advertisement where two lesbians are dressing up and preparing to meet one’s south Indian parents. The ad has already received over 3 Lakhs views within 10 days with mostly positive reviews and making great rounds on social media. The 3-minute video titled “The Visit” shows two women getting all romantic and caring towards each other in order to provide a good impression of the parents and ending with a message “Bold is Beautiful”.

Well, the concept sure is very bold and unique to be shown in India, however, people seem to like the ad pretty much with many wanting a part two of the ad. There were some great issues on same sex relationship in India by the Government as many believe that it shouldn’t be encouraged and provide a bad impression on youth. But this video by Anouk has avoided these issues and the kind of response it is receiving is certainly a message that India is now opening up to these kinds of relationship.

A FIFA movie that costed $29 Million investment could only manage to take a return of guess how much? Just $607, yes there is no million or billion against the number $607 just plain $607.
2
The movie makes debut only 3 days after FIFA President Sepp Blatter announces his resignation with the corruption investigation going on by US and Swiss authorities. The movie was Blatter biopic financed by FIFA named ‘Untied Passions’ and so it made its U.S debut.
4
Or well, sort of. It was released in 10 theaters nationwide and, according to the Hollywood Reporter, it made $607 on Friday and Saturday. It made $319 on Friday and $288 on Saturday. A large chunk of that came from a theater in North Hollywood, which took in $164 over the two days, according to the website.
5

Tim Roth plays Blatter in the movie and Sam Neill has a role as Blatter’s FIFA predecessor. The actors didn’t even bother to show up for its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
3
As for its review The New York Times wrote: “‘United Passions’ is one of the most unwatchable films in recent memory, a dishonest bit of corporate-suite sanitizing that’s no good even for laughs.”

Indian Army did a commendable job in retaliating back. Indian Army in joint operation with the Air Force, caused significant casualties with more than 50 militants killed in the operation inside Myanmar at two locations.
1
Sources said among the militants killed are those behind last week’s ambush of an Army convoy in which 18 soldiers were killed in Manipur’s Chandel district, the deadliest attack on security forces in two decades.
3
Starson Lamkang of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland or NSCN(K), who is suspected to have played a key role in organizing the June 4 ambush, is reportedly injured in today’s operations.
5
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a green flag to the Indian Army to go ahead and so in Myanmar two militant camps were completely annihilated, supported by Myanmar, ofcourse.
4
“This message is now very clear for all those who harboured intentions of terror on our country,” said the Union minister. Mi-17 helicopters of the Air Force were deployed and, sources said, the Assam Rifles and the Army’s Special Forces – 21 Para (SF) – carried out surgical strikes inside Myanmar.

Bollywood actresses are no short in giving back what they have in mind especially Vishakha Singh, who has movies like ‘Fukrey’ to her credit, she gave it back in a freaky awesome way over facebook to an abuser who clearly crossed a line. Here’s the story.
1
The actress had posted a photograph of hers on her Facebook that read: “Everybody is somebody’s foreigner. Wearing Madversity’s cool new Tee ..looking forward to more such quotes!”
3

Of the many comments she got on this picture, one said, “Nice looking and nice boobs.” Vishakha took no time to take a stand for herself and replied, in jest, to the user:
“Mr MD Mustakim Saifi, 1) Remove that innocent child’s picture as your dp. 2) have the guts to put your own profile picture . And then comment.” She continued, “I know I am a woman.. And for your general knowledge, Yes, All women have breasts. Your mother, sister, wife, grandmother, aunts, daughter, friends. All of them included. Do you walk up to them and say ‘nice boobs’? Feel sorry for you. Have the guts to say it on my face?? Else, get off my page.”
2
The picture and the comments therewith went viral in no time. But then he actress later deleted the picture that invited so much attention and posted a Facebook status that read:

The “SuryaNamaskar Row” takes another asana with BJP parliamentarian Yogi Adityanath sparked off another controversy saying that those opposing yoga and ‘surya namaskar’ should either leave India or drown themselves in the ocean.
1
This Yogi of 42-years from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh made the remarks in a ceremony at a temple in Varanasi. He then took to speak about importance and history of yoga and then again finding a way to tell that surya namaskar is a set of 12 yoga ‘asanas’ (postures) that is a salutation to the sun and those opposed to it should “leave Hindustan”.
2
According to reports, the government has decided to drop surya namaskar from asanas to be performed across the country to commemorate International Yoga Day following opposition by Muslim organisations.
5
Yogi Adityanath is no stranger to controversy. Last year, he was caught by collar by the Election Commission for a speech during a poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh that officials said was aimed at inciting communal tensions.

Seems like every packaged food product is in danger, after Maggi went into some sort of a stew, it seems to have found a match for itself, ‘Glucon-D’, where a packet of the energy drink was allegedly found with insects in Uttar Pradesh, following which it was sent for examination.
1

According to Bablu, he bought a packet of Glucon-D from a general store in Uttar Pradesh two days ago. He along with his family started vomiting after consuming the product. On later examination, insects were allegedly found in the packet. The victim had filed a complaint regarding the incident with the Drug Safety officer of the area.
1

Drug Safety officer Shivadas after receiving the complaint said that four packets of Glucon-D were collected from the shop concerned and sent to a laboratory in Lucknow.
3

The action will be taken after the test results arrive, he said. Glucon-D is manufactured by the American pharmaceutical giant, HJ Heinz company, headquartered in Pennyslyvania. And we don’t know which other packaged products are up for a danger.

IIT-Madras finally lifts up ban over the students in Ambedkar Perivar Study Circle, they had been suspended on May 22 with a complaint filed anonymously to the Human Resource Development Ministry.
1

With suspension of the student circle, the opposition parties voiced concerns and slamming the NAMO Government for stifling dissent and “silencing” voices.
3

The decision to restore recognition was a 7 hour discussion between the student representatives and IIT-Madras Director Bhaskar Ramamurthi. The Director of the IIT-Madras Bhaskar Ramamurthi has said that the issue over the de-recognition of the Ambedkar-Periyar Study Circle could have been handled in a non-controversial way.
2As he clarified on being ask why the students were de-recognised unilaterally at the first place, he said that was the process followed at the institution for all issues. “If a student is caught for malpractice in examinations, we first suspend and then ask for explanation. This has been the process. But looking back, I wish this controversy was averted,” he said.

While Yoga is supposedly to do well for health, but this matter here has brought much of an ill health somehow, with the Narendra Modi government planning to make yoga compulsory in schools; The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is all against it.
1
AIMPLB has warned that it would stage a nationwide campaign against the order that makes yoga and surya namaskars compulsory in schools. The AIMPLB also said it would move to court in order to demand the cancellation of the government’s order.
2

The AIMPLB calls this as an attempt to impose Hindu religious practices through the school curriculum and Modi government’s policies illegal and against the Constitution.
3

As to why they are against it, they say that “Surya namaskar should not be made mandatory in government schools,” because Muslims bowed only before ‘Allah.’
4
However, defending the government, Union Minister Mukhtar Naqvi said that there will be no imposition of any order and that the issue must not be politicized. “Those who have problem should not do it, there should be no politics on yoga,” Naqvi said.

Unholy cries! A 35-year-old married woman from Delhi was gangraped by 2 sadhus at an Ashram in Meerut. The woman along with her husband visited the ashram during a purnima (full moon) fair, that’s organized every year.
1

The victim, in her complaint, said that two sadhus asked her and her husband to follow them to the ashram when they were returning after having ‘langar’ at the mela. Where the sadhus held her husband hostage and gangraped her.
2

The victim didn’t immediately report the case fearing disgrace but later lodged a complaint. Hence, a case has been registered against the two accused Feru (40) and Raju (22).
3

Meanwhile, reacting to the news, the chief priest of Ashram, Pinky Maharaj said the duo is not associated with the Ashram and police should arrest them. Quite a way to shirk it off, dusting off holiness majesty with unholy acts of shame.

Water wives? Yes! You heard it so right, this is what happens when you are living in scarcity of water, you need a wife; a water wife. Happens to be in Western India, in the village of Denganmal, there are no taps. The only sources of drinking water in the region are too wells that becomes so crowded, that one has to wait there for hours.
2Some men in the village marry a second and sometimes even a third wife just to ensure their households have enough drinking water. These women are known as ‘water wives’. These women often widows or single mothers, to regain respect in conservative rural India by carrying water from the well quite some distance from the remote village.
3The water wife does not usually share the marital bed, but is a part of the family only for the purpose of water collection. When a water wife becomes too old to continue, the husband sometimes takes a third and younger spouse to fetch the water.
4The wives help each other, mostly like sisters and the disputes are handled within themselves. Marrying for water has been the norm here for many years. Polygamy is illegal in India, but, in this village, “water wives” are common.
6Isn’t it a reason enough to save water?

India is driving in a fast pace such that now our dear Delhi Metro doesn’t need a man to drive it, it will be operated by Delhi Metro’s operations control centres.
1
The train has been manufactured in South Korea, arrived at Gujrat by sea and then transported to Delhi by road. The metro’s are supposed to run on upcoming corridors which will be operational by 2016.
2
A total of 20 six-coach trains will be manufactured in South Korea by the end of this year, while 61 are being manufactured at the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) plant in Bengaluru. Each train would have the capacity to accommodate 2,280 passengers – 240 more than the regular Metro train as driverless trains do not require a cabin for the operator.
3
Even more to enhance security, CCTV cameras will be installed inside and outside the trains and the images will be directly accessed by the control centre. A proposition of select Delhi Metro’s to have wifi-zones is also in progress.

two
And, it has been speculated that some of fans created fake profiles to increase views for Prabhas Baahubali Trailer to share like and comment, which would reflect in increase of views for the trailer video in YouTube.

This is true and shameful, with reverence given to religion, its priests the same to use it to commit an act of shame. An Indian priest has been charged guilty for sexually assaulting a girl at the age of 16 years, a resident of Minessota in 2005, United States.
2
Rev. Joseph Palanivel Jeyapaul,(60 years) was sent over to the US last November from India in connection to this case which could end a fate of 15 years sentence to prison that’s verdict which is scheduled for June 15.
treeJeyapaul had fled to southern India in September 2005 after he was accused of molesting the girl. Wanted in the US on sexual assault charges, he was arrested by the Indian Police in March 2012.
4
The victim Megan Peterson now 25, had accused Jeyapaul of forcing her to touch him and abusing her. Now, what isn’t that a shame? The priest couldn’t keep his sexual urges in check?

So India’s first semi bullet train Gatimaan Express’s sixth and final trial came to an end. Its set to cover the distance between Delhi and Agra. In the trial run, it covered 195 km journey in 115 minutes with a maximum speed of 160-plus kmph.
1
The train is set to tour from second week of June after PM Narendra Modi flags it off.  The train is equipped with a 5,400HP electric locomotive and 12 modern coaches.
5
Even in the trail run it arrived 10 minutes late. And what is more ironic is that the current fastest train ‘Bhopal Shatabadi” takes 2  hours and 6 minutes with a 2 minutes halt at Mathura to cover the same, while on return the new semi bullet train ‘Gatimaan Express’ took 2 hours and 25 minutes that too without halt.
2
The fare for Gatimaan Express will be 25% more than what a Shatabdi passenger has to pay. One-way fare of the air-conditioned chair car has been fixed at Rs 690, while a passenger will be required to spend Rs 1,365 for the executive class.  For Shatabadi, a passenger is required to pay Rs 540 for a chair car seat and Rs 1,040 for the executive class.

While Guzaarish movie didn’t do much well but it did bring on table what a vegetative state of body does to mind, people want to die, sometimes because its easier than living. And in this case, its more of let my children die because there is nothing more to them left.
3
This is a real case of mercy killing formally known as ‘Euthanasia’. A father from Uttar Pradesh named Nazir seeks to kill 6 of his 8 children and has also written to President Pranab Mukherjee. His children suffer from a rare neurological disease called ‘Canavan’ wherein the patient suffers from seizures and eventually  becomes paralyzed.
2
To go through seeing 6 of them where even one would be difficult to be taken care off, the helpless father says that there’s not much he can do for them since he is a small sweet shop owner, and seeks legal euthanasia for them.
1
42 year old, Nazir also said that he would request the president to give his family financial assistance, if not euthanasia for his children. In India; passive euthanasia was legalized in 2011 allowing for withdrawal of life-prolonging medical treatment for terminally ill patients.
